Department of Philology
University of Crete, Greece

Welcome to CreteLing 2020!

The school will take place in Rethymnon, from July 18 to July 31, 2020.
There will be introductory, intermediate and advanced courses in a variety of linguistic subfields.

We hope that the COVID-19 containment measures will prove successful world-wide, as they appear to have in China and South Korea, and that CreteLing2020 will take place as planned.
We understand that given the disruption of business and life in general due to the containment measures, it may be hard to make or commit to summer plans. The early application deadline for CreteLing2020 is April 5. We cannot extend this because of logistical reasons relating to the dorms and services of the host university. However, we will be extending the payment deadline to May 30 (from the usual April 30). In other words, if you apply by April 5, you will be entitled to the early application tuition but you will not have to make a financial commitment until May 30.
The late application deadline is May 31 (though like previous years, early deadline applicants have priority with respect to dorm space).
